Another long-time no-no in SEO circles is using flash to deliver your content. Text is easy for he search engine robot to digest and find all the relevant page elements and assign ranking scores.
Flash, on the other hand, has traditionally been a much more difficult nut to crack for the search engines. Google claims they can now index flash – but don’t let this fool you into designing your entire site with flash!
Firstly, Google isn’t the only search engine, and you want your website to rank highly in all of them. Also, just because Google can now index flash files, it doesn’t mean that flash files will be as effective as text in delivering important ranking signals.
Use flash elements in your design if you feel it makes your website look better (e.g. flash headers, flash videos, etc.). But make sure the structure and content of your site is text.
